Just had a weekend on an Over the Hill Club meet in the YHA bunkhouse at Mounthooley, the (walking) highlight of which was the climb up to the Cheviot by Bizzle Burn in driech conditions and deep snow - to be presented quite suddenly with a temperature inversion on the summit. Quite superb.

er...I also bagged a little HuMP at Hethpool and had a walk on the beach at Beadnell bay

But I'm telling you the plot. Its all done in the best possible tatse on the blog at www.northernpies.blogspot.com

Looks like you had a great time

Impressive photos Mike Wink

Bad news, our westie _ Bobby was put to sleep yesterday Crying or Very sad

He got a lamb bone from the kitchen bin and swallowed it, sadly it jammed solid in his throat, rushed him over to the 24hr vet service - they operated straight away but had no success removing the bone so the decision was made to put him to sleep on advice from the vet

Tragic losing a 3 yr old dog, a sad time indeed Crying or Very sad

It's sad at any time to lose a pet, but to do so in this circumstance is tragic indeed. Sad

I love westies, they are so full of life.

I buried him earlier today in the garden at his favourite spot

It was a strange feeling when I arrived home from work not to have Bobby running up to greet me ..... he will be sadly missed
