This is situated at the head of the Colledge valley, a couple of miles South of Hen Hole on the Pennine Way.
Its maybe not ideally placed for the PW since wealkers would need to lose a fair amount of height and its not all that far from the end. It would be a good foul weather alternative to the Twenty Mile hut, though - and there's comfy beds and showers.
Its a long way from any shops and its also self catering.
Its a fine spot, though and handy as a base for the Cheviot and The Schil and other Cheviot walks.
