This is a lovely walk which has a mixture of high moor and valley walking, the distance is 35 miles (40 miles to Robin Hood's Bay).
The walk starts at Castleton, North Yorks and finishes at Whitby (or Robin Hood's Bay if you wish to) and does a 15 circular to the Lion Inn via Rosdale Head and back to Castleton via Eskletts, continuing to Whitby via Danby, Beacon Hill, Leaholm, Glaisdale, Egton Bridge and Grosmont, if you want to finish at Robin Hood's Bay then just continue on the Coast to Coast walk from Grosmont which adds a few more miles. |
