I was kindly sent a copy of the new edition of the Pennine Way guide book by the fantastic folk at Trailblazer guides.
It's recently been updated by Chris Scott - who visits here occasionally and who is also in the process of updating the C2C guide book by Trailblazer.
It was great to see entries by Stottie and Tom Read - both long standing members of the forum - in the new edition.
I really like the fact that Chris (or Trailblazer perhaps) are encouraging "regular" folk to contribute to these guide books - asking people who have walked the route multiple times to offer advice on the walk and giving them a chance to get their name in print
The new guide is great and I'm strongly tempted to walk the PW next year myself now - I think I can manage to gather together enough leave for a 17 day walk - so watch this space... _________________
